Privacy Policy – Mechanical Workshop
In short: Mechanical Workshop does not require an account, does not collect or share your personal data, contains no ads, analytics or tracking, and keeps your game progress only on your own device.
Effective date
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 12 October 2026.
About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Android game Mechanical Workshop (“the game”), developed by MikiForge Studio (“we”, “us”), handles information. It applies only to the game itself.
No user accounts
The game does not require or offer user accounts. You do not need to register, sign in, or provide a name, email address, or any other personal details to play.
Information we collect
We do not intentionally collect, store, or share any personal data. In particular, the game:
- does not send any data from your device to us or to anyone else;
- does not contain analytics, advertising, or tracking;
- does not use cookies or similar technologies;
- does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or other files on your device.
The game is designed to work fully offline.
Save data stored on your device
To remember your progress, the game stores a small amount of game data locally, in the game’s own private storage area on your device. This data is never transmitted to us. It consists of:
- campaign progress: completed levels, stars, best times and part counts;
- your last successful machine for each completed campaign level;
- machines you choose to save in the Workshop, including the names you give them;
- game settings such as sound volume, mute and screen shake.
Please do not use personal information when naming saved machines. Even if you do, those names stay only on your device.
Third-party services and SDKs
The game does not include any third-party services or SDKs. It contains no advertising networks, analytics or crash-reporting services, social media integrations, or cloud services.
The game is built with the open-source Godot Engine, which runs entirely on your device and does not send data to us.
If you download the game from Google Play, Google handles the download and installation under its own Privacy Policy. Google may provide developers with aggregated statistics, such as install numbers. If you have allowed your device to share usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google may also provide crash and performance reports. This information is provided by Google; the game itself does not collect it.
Data retention and deletion
Because the game’s data is stored only on your device, it stays there until you delete it, and you stay in full control of it:
- Reset progress: Settings → Reset Progress erases your stars, best times and saved campaign machines.
- Delete Workshop machines: Workshop → My Machines → Delete removes a saved machine.
- Delete everything: uninstalling the game, or using Android Settings → Apps → Mechanical Workshop → Storage → Clear storage, removes all of the game’s local data.
We do not hold any copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to retain, and nothing we could delete on your behalf.
Children and target audience
Mechanical Workshop is intended for users aged 13 and over. The game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, please contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the game changes how information is handled, we will update this page and change the effective date above before that version is released.
